AirPods Pro Expected to Launch October 30

Apple has made an announcement that they will be releasing the new AirPods Pro on October 30 for $249. Notable updates for the new wireless earbuds include silicon ear tips, a new design and active noise canceling technology.

The Cupertino-based company says that the AirPods Pro are made for ‘comfort and fit’, and each product will have ear tips made of silicone to provide a ‘superior seal’.

An app will measure sound levels on each ear via built-in microphones and compare it with the driver. Apple says that the algorithm will automatically detect whether the tip size is just right or if it needs to be adjusted. Then, a vent system releases pressure to minimize in-ear discomfort.

The AirPods Pro will also have a redesigned charging case and the H1 chip for optimized pairing and ‘Hey Siri’ commands.

Interested buyers can pre-order on the Apple website or buy them at the Apple Store come October 30. First orders are expected to arrive October 31, 2019.
