The U.S. is celebrating Veterans Day today, and Apple honors the event with a special Activity Challenge badge, a new banner on the main page and a tweet from Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Tim Cook went on Twitter and thanked veterans at Apple, in his family and all over the world for their sacrifice and service. On the Apple website, a short message is displayed to honor the veterans and service members in America.

Apple has also promoted the AR app Healium as a way to help veterans manage their anxiety. It was made by Sarah Hill, a former TV journalist who has been featured in Apple Newsroom.

In other parts of the world, November 11 is known as Armistice Day and Remembrance Day.
