Tim Cook, Apple CEO has announced that the company’s wearables, e.g., the AirPods, Apple Watch and Beats headphones have set new records for Q4 in every market.
Cook says that they received amazing results in the accessories, home and wearables category in revenues that reached $6.5 billion, up $2.3 billion a year ago. Furthermore, Cook mentions that totality is the reason that’s driving the sales.
According to Apple, a third of Apple Watch buyers are new adopters, and Cook admits that they’re still on ‘build mode’ to try and attract more consumers. The Apple Watch Series 5’s always-on feature, the CEO says has proven to be a game-changer as well.
In the report, the Apple CEO touched on the subject of health. Cook says that the company is trying to improve efforts on health, notably on research and medical records, but the future isn’t fully fleshed out and there are things the company doesn’t want to talk about yet.
