This 2019, Apple has released a teaser for a new project in Japan. A new mosaic Apple logo appeared along with the company’s announcement of remodeling of Apple Shibuya. Today, Apple is unveiling a brand new Apple Store right in Tokyo’s Marunouchi district.
The store location is at the corner of Mitsubishi building, with offices and shops that overlook Tokyo Station. Commuters exiting from south of Tokyo Station will be met by the store as they get up to the street. Graphic ads depicting transit lines are installed on the store windows to herald its opening.
The district of Marunouchi is a commercial platform in close proximity to Imperial Palace. It’s rife with high-end galleries, restaurants and shopping centers and a good place for Apple to showcase future Today at Apple programs.
The Marunouchi store will be Apple’s 9th in Japan and 5th in Tokyo. Meanwhile, Apple Omotesando is still being renovated to have modern designs.
