Apple has launched a screen replacement program that covers cracks along the edges of an Apple Watch Series 2 or 3 models. If you have bought an Apple Watch between September 2016 through September 2019, you may be eligible to get a free repair.
Apple Watch Screen Replacement Program
Apple Watch models sold until September 2019 may be included in the replacement program as well, and Apple may be addressing current production flaws and removing affected Watch models at the same time.
Ceramic and stainless steel models and accidental damage will not be covered in the program. If the crack appears around the edge of the watch, authorized service providers will fix it free of charge.
Affected Apple Watch owners can also contact Apple Support, do an in-person visit or go through a partner channel.
The Apple Watch has been included in past replacement programs, including the one that repaired back covers and expanded batteries for the Apple Watch first-gen and Series 2 models.
