Apple is expected to release a new-gen, low-cost iPhone similar to that of the iPhone SE early 2020.
Nikkei claims that the new iPhone is a refresh of the iPhone SE that was launched in 2016. The size is expected to be similar to the iPhone 8, featuring hardware innards of flagship iPhones and an LCD display.
The rumors of a low-cost successor to the iPhone SE began April 2019. The new device is expected to have 128GB storage, single lens rear camera and the A13 processor amidst a new PCB. It’s not yet clear if the smartphone will have FaceID and a notched design, but if it’s modeled after the iPhone 8 then we can expect a Touch ID Home button and bordered screen display.
Apple 7 models may be phased out during the launch of the new iPhones, which the new budget phone could fill in the mid-tier market. We’ll just have to wait for the official announcement.
