A United States Class Action regarding the delayed launch of the revamped Siri has been settled, with Apple paying $250 million to qualified users potentially getting a payout of $95.
Preliminary approval has been given by a judge for the settlement Apple has made, but no settlement website has been made yet and could potentially take months for the customers to start passing claims.
Apple was sued back in 2024, June, after showing the new Siri that will be powered by Apple Intelligence, and in March last year. The release of the revamped Siri was pushed back, resulting in the class action lawsuit hitting Apple accusing them of false advertising. The revamped Siri was announced by Apple during this year’s WWDC, with testing available in the developer beta of iOS 27 and a public release slated for September.
