The government in Poland has declared plans to start legislation drafting to set tax up to 3% for revenues from specific digital services; the move could affect large tech companies from the United States that are operating in the area.
The bill will result in taxing companies that gain money from online platforms and ads that are targeted to where consumers buy, sell, or connect and sell user data. This would affect large companies that make over €1 billion worldwide.

This means that services provided by Apple, such as Apple TV+, Apple Podcasts, Apple Music, and the App Store, and other businesses will be under the scope, and the draft has wide exemptions like digital interfaces that have the main purpose of providing content owned by the supplier that owns distribution rights. Other companies, such as Amazon and Meta, will be affected by the tax if the bill passes.
