Apple Arcade is a subscription service that allows Apple TV, iPad, iPhone and Mac users to play curated games for a monthly fee.

The much-anticipated gaming platform is set to become the Netflix for gamers. The tech firm’s new service will grant players access to over a hundred, high quality titles that don’t have paywalls, in-app purchases and advertisements. Moreover, these games can be downloaded and will work just fine without an internet connection. Arcade can be launched on a tab from the App Store.

Apple Arcade Release Date and Prices

Apple Arcade is set to become live in the Autumn season (Between September and November 2019) with a pricing package that should be similar to that of News+ (No official prices have been released by the company yet). The fee includes the Family Sharing feature that allows up to 6 iOS users to play games on their personal devices.

As for the games, you can expect the following to head the subscription service- Beyond a Steel Sky, Fantasian, LEGO Brawls, Oceanhorn 2, Repair, Sonic Racing, Winding Worlds and titles from 35 different studios and developers including Sega, Konami, Cartoon Network, Disney and Gameloft. Apple will reveal the rest, but as of the moment there’s no definite games list yet.
