Apple’s main manufacturer is reported ramping up their hiring with 6 weeks left for the unveiling of 2019 iPhone models.

Economic Daily News says that Foxconn has started offering a 4,500 yuan ($650) bonus for employees who will renew their contracts, which is presumably to gather enough manpower for the mass production of 2019 iPhones.

There’s a lot at stake, as the first week of new iPhone sales number in the millions, historically.

Three new iPhone models are expected to debut in the month of September. It’s believed that Apple will retain the same sized variants- 6.5 inch, 6.1 inch and 5.8 models that are similar to the lineup we’ve seen in 2018.

Foxconn, otherwise known as Hon Hai Precision Industry is a multinational electronics contractor with headquarters in Taiwan. It’s currently the largest electronics manufacturing services in the world, manufacturing electronic products for notable companies Apple, Nintendo, Sony, Amazon, and Microsoft, among others.
