The HCRF, or Human Rights Campaign Foundation has given Apple a perfect score in terms of LGBTQ inclusion and equality during their annual Corporate Equality Index.
Companies are rated by the organization according to the 3 key pillars:
- No discriminating policies on all business entities.
- Equal opportunity and benefits for LGBTQ employees and their family.
- Supports corporate and cultural social responsibilities.
Moreover, each company is rated on a percentage scale based on various policies such as health care coverage and inclusion on supply chain programs.
Thirteen of the top 20 Fortune 500 companies got a perfect score as well, including Walgreen, Fannie Mae, McKesson, Walmart, Cardinal Health, Amazon, Chevron, Kroger Co., AmerisourceBergen Corp., AT&T, General Motors and UnitedHealth.
Apple took the Number 3 spot in the Fortune 500 in revenue while being ranked Number 1 in terms of profit and among tech companies. The Cupertino-based firm is also the most admired company globally for the 12th consecutive time.
