Apple has released an update on its iMovie app for iOS, bringing it to 2.2.7 and adding a wealth of new features along the way.
Upon updating and opening, iMovie app users will find a new green screen effect that allows them to remove backgrounds of videos that were shot with a blue or green screen, making it easier to put a new background in the process.
Photos may now be used to create a split-screen or picture in picture effect via overlays. Still images such as graphics or logos may now be put on top of the video. Apple has added a bunch of soundtracks that range from chill, pop to sentimental, and these soundtracks will adjust according to the length of the clip.
iMovie theater sharing is disabled, and all trailers and movies are now stored on iCloud Photos for watching or sharing.
Full release notes regarding the new iMovie update can be seen on the official Apple website.
