The CIRP, or Consumer Intelligence Research Partners have recently shared data which reveals the iPhone XR as the best selling iPhone model in the US for the third quarter of 2019.
The iPhone XS Max, XS, and XR made up 67% of total iPhone sales in the US for Q3 2019, with the XR accounting for 48% of those figures. Moreover, the CIRP states that the XR’s percent share has been the highest since the iPhone 6 came out in 2015.
The iPhone XR is currently Apple’s most affordable product, with US prices starting at $749 for the base model. It almost has the same hardware as the XS Max and XS, except it has an LCD screen instead of OLED, and a single-lens camera while the latter has dual-lens cameras.
For the 2019 iPhones, Apple is rumored to have successors for the three iPhone models, with the 2019 XR still having an LCD screen to keep the costs down.
