The project is rumored to now have been cancelled because of the poor yield in production. For over a year now we have been getting rumors for an iPhone that will feature a big redesign with an all-glass display, the first major change since the iPhone X.
It is uncertain on if the whole project for the iPhone is cancelled or if the all-glass display is the only one cancelled. Apple already planned to bring an all-glass design eventually for the iPhone Pro and Pro Max models to increase the average margin and selling price of the device.
