Looking to disprove the claim that the 20th-anniversary iPhone project has been cancelled, a reporter from Bloomberg, Mark Gurman, states that the 20th anniversary iPhone is still planned for release next-year with the all-glass display.
The device will feature heavy glass use with the rear wrapping located at the edges and front to squeeze in a thin metal band. This design could be the one that Edison Lee was claiming to have been scrapped, but Gurman claims that the concept was thrown out of the cycle in development early on.
Edison Lee also hinted that the design was also supposed to eventually be adopted by the iPhone Pro and Pro Max models as the company was looking to branch out the feature to future products. Many rumors recently have been suggesting that the design is planned to be integrated in next-year’s iPhone Pro and Pro Max models.
