Smartphone sales in India were behind by 14% in March and early August. Apple has gained ground in Europe, India, and Latin America as they outperformed all its rivals with a rise of 15% in sales. This is due to the strong demand for the iPhone 17.
Shipments for smartphones in Latin America dropped by 10% in Q2, being the biggest yearly drop since Q3 2023. Both Samsung and Apple were the only companies that grew with a 6% and 5% increase. Apple got its gains from the component absorptions as they tried to tank the prices instead of having the customers deal with it.

The constrained supply for memory and increased prices is expected to remain for the entire year, with no recovery until at least 2028. Apple has had trouble securing chips, and will be revealing its first foldable iPhone alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. The base iPhone might debut early next year.
