The Mac Pro’s design was last refreshed in 2013 making it one of the long overdue products Apple makes. Phil Schiller, Apple’s SVP unveiled the circular Mac Pro at WWDC 2013. He remarked the machine and the work Apple did as “Can’t innovate anymore my ass”.
Since then, Apple has not been able to keep up with the Mac line. It hadn’t updated any of the Macs for a very long time and its laptops are plagued with issues. The “Pro” community of Mac users took to the internet to criticize Apple neglecting the Mac by focusing mostly on the iPhone. In 2017, Apple called together a group of journalists to talk about the future of Mac Pro.

During the talks, Apple reported that its working on a modular Mac Pro tower which will be exactly what the users have been asking for. Since then, the company has also released the powerful iMac Pro, an all-in-one with the power of the Mac Pro. It was long rumored that Apple would release the modular Mac Pro in 2018 but that never happened.
MODULAR & TOWER STYLED
Now the guesses are that, Apple will release the new Mac Pro at WWDC 2019. It actually makes sense as the last Mac Pro was also released at WWDC. From what we know so far from the comments Apple made and what the industry experts have reported, the Mac Pro tower will be much easier to upgrade compared to “trash can” styled Mac Pro Apple sells at the moment.
It has also been reported that Apple has been working on a Thunderbolt Display for Macs. The company used to make the 27 inch display but it stopped selling it in 2016 and instead started recommending the LG Ultrafine 5K display. It appears that Apple wants to get back in the game of displays.
The WWDC kicks off on 3rd June, be sure to join us as we report new findings and the release of the modular Mac Pro tower.
