The Mac Pro has been discontinued by Apple and has been removed from their website. Apple is reportedly not planning to make a new version of the device with no model release in the future.
The last time the Mac Pro was updated was in 2023, Apple has given the device the M2 Ultra Apple silicon chip, while the chassis of the device has not been changed since 2019. The company revamped the device to be modular, but flopped with the Mac Pro.
The downfall of the Mac Pro began in 2013 when the cylindrical radical design was introduced by Apple proving to be a big mistake as the components of the device were mounted around a dissipation thermal core in the center while being cooled with one fan pulling air out from below, the company has acknowledged the mistake and apologized to users because the design made it impossible for upgrades.
