A new MacBook Pro is expected to launch next year with an OLED display.
Linda Lin, India analyst, said that the next MacBook models are still on track to debut in 2026. It’s widely believed that the OLED component will debut first on the higher-end MacBook Pro before becoming available in the other MacBook models. The switch to OLED will bring several benefits, including deeper blacks, greater power efficiency, and increased brightness, among others. Furthermore, Apple might be doing a major redesign, such as making the laptop thinner.

The 2026 MacBook lineup will have the M6 Max, M6 Pro, and M6 chips. Omdia said that the 2025 MacBook Pro will be integrated with a hole-punch camera instead of the usual notch, but it didn’t happen. However, there’s still a chance that Apple could make it with the 2026 MacBooks. Apple is expected to make the announcement in October next year.
