It’s the 24th of October and there’s no official word from Apple about the yearly Mac/iPad event. Multiple news blogs appear to be certain about the fact that the new 16 inch MacBook Pro will be released in a couple of days. So does that mean Apple will do things differently and update the Mac line in the month of November?
Judging from the number of reports by noted Apple analysts, we strongly believe that the company will refresh its MacBook Pro this year. The Mac laptop line has been under criticism for a very long time now due to its faulty keyboard mechanism. Introduced in 2015 along with the MacBook, the butterfly keyboard mechanism has come a long way but could never be the “it just works” keyboard.

Fly away butterfly!

WSJ’s Joanna Stern took a job at Apple for its faulty keyboard because of which the company released a public statement apologizing to customers affected by the issue. Apple also added three years of extra warranty to the keyboard of the MacBooks with butterfly mechanism keys.
The process of getting the MacBook’s keyboard is now much easier compared to the initial days of release when installing a new keyboard would sometimes take weeks. A lot of people reported that they could not get their work done as their laptops were at the service centers. Many of the users affected by the butterfly keyboard issues also said that they were planning to move to reliable Windows laptops but it’s unclear as to how many actually moved.
The Apple walled garden

The tool that keeps YouTubers stuck to the Mac platform is Final Cut Pro, the popular video editing software that is available only on the Mac App Store. Also, for iOS developers Xcode is the software that they could never leave even if they wanted to. We have heard from a lot of people that they were planning to upgrade their laptops after Apple releases the new MacBooks with improved keyboard mechanism.
