Wanting to give Microsoft’s browser a try, but don’t want to leave the macOS environment? Microsoft has revealed the Edge browser preview build on May 20th for Mac users. It’s the first-ever official release for the Chromium-based Edge, tweaked to provide Mac users an “at home” experience.

At first glance, the Edge on Mac follows the same convention of layouts, title casing, keyboard shortcuts, menus and fonts as the rest. Moreover, Microsoft has promised to provide several improvements regarding the overall look and feel of the browser. This includes providing support for the Touch Bar, tab switching, video controls and web shortcuts.

Dev channel releases that provide weekly updates are expected to launch soon. For now, interested macOS users can get the first build via the Canary channel. Issues can be reported straight to Microsoft Edge Insider forums, via Twitter or by using the “Send Feedback” button on the Edge browser menu.
