Tech giant Microsoft has announced a new mobile app called Office, to be released on both Android and iOS platforms. Office will have PowerPoint, Excel and Word and acts as an all-in-one platform, able to handle almost any type of document and provide a boost in productivity.

Being a mobile app, you can take snapshots of paper documents using your smartphone’s camera and convert it into digital tables and documents for Excel or Word. An all-new Actions pan give the user a number of conveniences, including file transfer options, scanning QR codes, digital PDF signing and PDF creation from photos and documents.

Microsoft’s Office for Android and iOS is currently available only as a public preview, with Office for iOS being brought under the TestFlight program and available only for a limited number of users. Also, the preview app is restricted to smartphones but may have tablet support in the future.
