Apple has announced they will be releasing an updated MacBook Air that has True Tone display technology. Its starting price is at $1,099 down from $1,199, and discounted to just $999 for students via Apple’s education store.
True Tone technology automatically adjusts the display’s white balance depending on the user’s lighting environment for optimal natural viewing.
The lowest-priced MacBook unit has 8GB of RAM, 128GB SSD storage, a 1.6 GHz i5 dual-core processor and an Intel 617 graphics card. The 2017 MacBook air is now discontinued in the process.
Aside from the MacBook Air, the MacBook Pro 13-inch model also gets a facelift, featuring quad-core Intel processors, an Apple T2 chip, True Tone display, Touch ID and the Touch Bar. The lowest-priced variant is at $1,299 or $1,199 for students.
The MacBook Air 2019 with True Tone is now available for ordering at the official Apple website.
