The newest Huarache sneakers from Nike have adapted the FitAdapt lacing technology, which in turn can be controlled via Apple Watch and Siri voice commands.

The Adapt Huarache line can accommodate a number of activities and foot types via preset fit options using the app called Nike Adapt for the iPhone. The app also works with Siri Shortcuts and custom voice commands on Apple Watch, iPad, HomePod and the iPhone.

Nike says that the technology is driven by a midfoot motor that can be controlled via the Nike Adapt app. Adapt Huarache owners can log in a themed interface, which should be universal as far as all future FitAdapt products are concerned, and choose preset activities and foot types.

These smart shoes are expected to have a retail price of somewhere around $350 and should be debuting on September 13. The controllable LED lights alone may be worth the cost of entry.
