Noise, an app that will be part of WatchOS 6 beta is set to become the latest addition in the firm’s health tech wearable lineup.
The exclusive app for the Apple Watch was created to prevent gradual hearing loss. It will send out notifications when it detects that you’re in a loud environment and when you’re in danger of sustaining possible hearing damage.
Your Apple Watch’s mic can act as a measuring tool when you’re in construction areas, parades, theaters, concerts and even in busy streets. Open Noise App and it will measure the amount of decibels in real time.
Noise runs in the background and will warn you in particularly loud scenarios and when decibels are clocking in at 90 or higher.
The Noise app isn’t available yet. Apple Watch users should be able to try it when the WatchOS 6 beta goes live in fall of 2019.
