Oprah Winfrey’s book club has found a home in Apple Books. In a recent website article, the popular show host explains why she chose Apple as her partner.
Orpah says that the power and size of Apple, combined with her love for books has the potential to grow into a vibrant book club. She further says that the opportunity to connect globally with other readers and taking part in the conversation about the story and the author’s writing process.
The program will run on Apple Books. A percentage of the sales for the first book, titled ‘The Water Dancer’ will be donated to the Library Association of America.
Apple TV+ will be airing Oprah’s Book Club, and the first episode will be an interview with ‘The Water Dancer’ author, Ta-Nehisi Coates. The background will be at the Apple Store in Carnegie Library, but there’s no set date as of the moment.
