Apple has renamed its A-List Hip Hop playlist to the new Rap Life. Apple Music R&B and hip-hop head Ebro Darden is set to host the Rap Life segment for his Beats 1 show. In addition, there’s a Rap Life weekly show that puts the spotlight on the culture and some music in the playlist.
The description of the playlist reads that rap is often referred to as The Culture because it’s a way of life. The playlist features the songs and stars that define the culture and speak to the moment.
There’s no surprise that Apple Music is pegged as a leading hip-hop streaming platform since it came out in 2015. At one time, Apple Music topped Spotify in engagement aspects for major releases, which included ‘More Life’ and ‘Scorpion’ from Drake.
Apple Music is a streaming service similar to Google Play Music, Amazon Music Unlimited, Spotify and more.
