Reddit’s official website is currently down for millions of users around the world. According to DownDetector, Over 5,000 outages have occurred since 2:21 pm this afternoon.
Users across the US and Europe were affected. Thousands were welcomed with a white screen and the message:

“Sorry, Reddit can’t be reached for some reason.”
It doesn’t work on the app or website and other users were logged out of their accounts.

Connor John Brandston wrote: “Down for me, it won’t load anything.”
Another said: “‘Our CDN was unable to reach our servers’ is currently being displayed on the website. Is anybody else having this issue?”
According to Reddit Twitter, that they are “We are currently investigating this issue.”
Reddit is the third most popular site in the United States and is home to more than 200 million unique monthly users.
Update: Reddit has implemented a fix to the issue and is monitoring its results.
Update: According to Reddit, the incident has now been resolved.
