WhatsApp appears to have added a dark mode feature on its Android App that is currently available in beta. The dark mode feature was first spotted inside the WhatsApp beta version 2.19.85 for Android that was released on 26th of March, 2019 to beta testers.
It’s not clear when WhatsApp plans to release the new version of the App that would include the all new dark mode feature publicly. However, this surely means that they are currently working on improving it.
Since the company is working on a dark mode for Android, it’s most likely that they are working on the dark mode feature for its iOS App as well. After all, WhatsApp always tries to keep there iOS and Android App very much the same.
That being said, the developers of the App haven’t made any official statements regarding the dark mode feature yet. Although, we are expecting them to do so upon the public release.
