At the WWDC, Apple mentioned that porting apps over to macOS Catalina will become much easier, thanks to the new Catalyst feature.
Then, a few days after macOS Catalina was released, we’re now seeing a Twitter for Mac app available at the Mac App Store. Interested Mac users can download and install the app as long as they’re using Catalina.
Twitter for Mac was discontinued last year, with the developers saying that Mac owners may stick to the web version in the meantime. But with the help of the new Catalyst initiative, Twitter for Mac was reintroduced.
The app has the same layout with its iPad and iPhone counterpart, but with a few neat additions such as notifications, keyboard shortcuts, dark mode, drag and drop, resizing, multiple windows and more.
The app is now available to download for free at the Mac App Store.
