Update: Facebook just announced its dark mode feature on its mobile app. The dark mode is expected to be available for the “Watch” tab only. This will help to cut down on glare and help you focus on photos and videos.

Since Facebook hasn’t rolled out an update for its iOS app yet, we haven’t got a chance to try it out. We will update this article as soon as we get the update for our iOS devices.

In the meantime, you can check out an alternative way to enable dark mode on Facebook below.

Our old method to enable dark mode

Facebook users have been demanding a dark mode feature on Facebook’s iOS App. However, dark mode feature was only added on the Messenger App and not on the Facebook App.

However, this doesn’t mean you can’t get dark mode on your iOS device. A partly dark mode feature already exists on the iOS 11 and above, which is called “Invert Colors” that turns anything white to black and black to white. With this option enabled, you should have Facebook in dark mode on your iOS device in no time.

Here’s How You Can Enable Facebook Dark Mode on iOS

  1. Head to “Settings”.
  2. Tap on “General”.
  3. Now Go to “Accessibility”.
  4. Tap “Display Accommodations”.
  5. Tap “Invert Colours”.
  6. Toggle the “Smart Invert” switch to enable the new Dark mode interface.

Let us know in the comments below, what do you think of new Facebook messenger Dark Mode Interface.
